researching Vincent van Gogh and his life in Paris,

which combine her love of Paris with her love
of art history, in this case, the life of Vincent
van Gogh. Ms. Bain-Smith has published in the
Kentucky Review (French medieval man-uscripts)
and has been a contributor in other publications.
This is her first Parisian travel guide.

exhibited in New York City in SoHo, Tribeca, Chelsea,
as well as numerous places around the country.
Before the conception of this book, one of her
paintings was exhibited in the town hall in Auvers-sur-Oise,
directly across from Auberge Ravoux where Vincent
died. She also exhibits her pho-tographs. Ms.
Bain-Smith received a BA in art his-tory and painting
from Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton),
an MA in art history from the University of Kentucky

The author resides in Brooklyn, surrounded by
